Eight beats. Three turning drums. Six gentle nudges. Follow the visible score and find the moments when one small adjustment changes everything. This is a thinking game; no sound or timing is needed.
The music machine
Practice performanceEach pointer shows the current note. On every beat all drums advance: A by 1, B by 2, C by 3 positions. A nudge shifts one drum by one extra position, before they sound.
Choose hold or one nudge → all drums advance → compare the three sounded notes with this beat’s targets. A nudge persists into future beats. Every button marked “Play” advances one beat.
Read ahead: a nudge changes this beat and the drum’s future phase.
The entire score
All eight targets visibleThe three targets are independent. Earn partial credit for each matching instrument; match all three for a complete chord. Future notes never change.
Targets shown in A / B / C order. The final column shows points earned on a played beat, including any final winding bonus.
Read the drums as numbers
Positions 0, 1, 2, 3 are Sun, Wave, Leaf, Star. Forward adds 1; backward subtracts 1; both wrap around. On each beat: new position = (old position + drum speed + chosen nudge + 4) mod 4. Only one drum may be nudged.

Eight beats, an exact score
- All drums have the cycle Sun → Wave → Leaf → Star → Sun. Their automatic speeds are A: 1, B: 2, C: 3. They always advance together, even when you hold.
- Start with 6 winding charges. Hold is free. Nudge one drum +1 or −1 for one charge. A nudge and the automatic advance happen in the same beat; you never spend a turn just adjusting.
- Matching the printed target earns A: 4, B: 5, C: 6 points. All three matching earns an extra 9 for a complete chord.
- Consecutive complete chords add a run bonus: 2 × min(previous consecutive chords, 3). Thus the first chord adds 0 run points, the second 2, the third 4, and each later consecutive chord 6. An incomplete chord resets the run.
- The performance ends after exactly 8 beats. Only then, each unused winding charge adds 2 points. There is no early finish or score penalty for a missed note.
